The day a dream came true: My first trip abroad - Thailand

It is hard to describe the feeling of flying to another country away from my homeland for the first time. It was a wonderful experience filled with fear, joy, and curiosity. To mark this unforgettable 'first foreign trip' of my life, I chose Thailand—one of the most beautiful destinations in Asia.

I felt so relaxed the moment I landed in Thailand. People were very kind. When they greeted us with a smile and said 'Sawadee-ka,' I didn't feel scared of being in a new country anymore.

Bangkok, the capital of Thailand, is a place where skyscrapers on one side and ancient history on the other are blended together.

Tuk-Tuk Ride: Although similar to a three-wheeler in our country, it is a different experience to travel on different roads in a Tuk-Tuk decorated with colorful lights.

When I visited temples like Wat Arun and Wat Phra Kaew in Bangkok, I couldn't believe my eyes. The intricate carvings and gold color were amazing.

A trip to Thailand is not complete without eating from a street stall! Thai street food is like a whole different world. My favorite was 'Pad Thai' (Thai noodles). Also, the 'Mango Sticky Rice' dessert was amazing—it just melts in your mouth! There are so many other street foods to try. The fruits on the streets are very cheap, so I ate a lot of them.

Shopping and Entertainment

This is a place where you can buy a lot of things without burdening your pocket. Especially at weekend markets like Chatuchak, there is nothing missing. You can buy beautiful clothes and souvenirs at low prices.

One of the best highlights of my trip was the Dinner Cruise on the Chao Phraya River. The view of the city at night was breathtaking, with illuminated temples and buildings reflecting on the water. Enjoying a delicious meal with live music while cruising through the heart of Bangkok was truly a magical experience.

I'm still happy to this day that I chose Thailand as my first foreign trip. It wasn't just a fun trip, it was a lesson in a different culture, different people, and a way to see the world through new eyes.
